3 Months of Progress So Far? You Decide.

Every Ingredient 3 Months Progress Update
I know I promised that the next blog post would be about that wild scam story I’m still caught up in (yes, I’m still deep in it and gathering all the details), but something even more important has been on my mind lately: you.
Think of this like a quarterly performance report. But instead of being the boss, you’re more like the investor. And I’m the employee reporting back on how I’ve used your support, whether that’s your order, share, like, comment, or just good vibes to grow Every Ingredient.
So, here’s my honest 3-month check-in. You decide how I’m doing.
The Mission: Convenience, Accessibility, & Change
From day one, I built Every Ingredient around the idea of convenience-first shopping, especially for people in Trinidad & Tobago.
T&T is so far behind in e-commerce while the rest of the world is moving into AI, automation, and contactless systems. Meanwhile, we’re still messaging Instagram pages to find out if something is in stock and meeting up in car parks to collect products.
That had to change.
I wanted to create something modern, safe, and effortless where people could:
- Pay with cash, card, or online
- Order securely from a professional website
- Get free delivery anywhere in T&T
And maybe most importantly? I wanted every kind of customer to feel welcome, from Gen Zs who live online to boomers who still shout “cash is king” like it’s going out of style.
What I’ve Improved & Upgraded
Over the last 3 months, here’s what I’ve introduced to make shopping easier, better, and just a bit more exciting:
- Website speed & design upgrades for smoother browsing
- Sample packs in new, more durable pouches
- Bundle deals to help you save and reduce decision fatigue
- A full review system (with incentives!) so you can share your feedback, photos, and even videos
- Influencer marketing launch – shoutout to @iDreamoFoodie for the amazing promo
- Free product guides to help you get the most out of your spices
- Wholesale options for those wanting to use in their catering business and restaurants
- Same-day customer support via WhatsApp, 7 days a week
- Email marketing in different forms, so you’re always in the loop
Sustainability That Actually Means Something
Let’s be real: in places like the U.S. and Europe, sustainability has moved past trend status; it’s now a standard expectation. But here in Trinidad & Tobago, most small businesses and even bigger businesses are still lagging behind, waiting to play catch-up. Meanwhile, large companies like PriceSmart are already investing millions into things like biodegradable production plants (source).
That’s why, from day one, I made a decision not to wait.
I wanted Every Ingredient to be part of the movement, not just when it becomes convenient or trendy, but now, while it still matters most. Because more and more people care about where their money goes, and they want to support ethical businesses that reflect their values.
So I committed to:
- Sustainable packaging
- A Recycle & Save program (yes, you actually earn points for returning recyclable bottles!)
- Biodegradable mailers
- And promoting a shopping experience that’s good for you and good for the planet. You can read more about our sustainability efforts here on our Sustainability Life page.
To me, this isn’t just a marketing buzzword or an optional add-on. Why? Because profit isn’t the only motivator. I want to create something bigger than myself, something that reflects where the world is heading, not where we’ve been stuck.
Month-by-Month Improvements
I made a personal commitment to add at least one new feature or update every single month.
Why? Because good can always become better. It might be a new content format, a new product, or an easier way for you to order. But my goal is to keep moving so you always feel like this business is growing with you in mind.
Let’s Talk Payment & Delivery (Trini Style)
I refused to launch a half-baked experience (pun intended). I waited to open a proper business account so I could offer every payment option securely and confidently. That meant delaying launch by almost 3 weeks.
It might not sound like a big deal, but in T&T, offering card payments or online checkout with real security takes research, patience, and persistence.
And you know what? 80% of my sales since launch have been payment on delivery. That alone says a lot about how people in Trinidad are still warming up to digital trust. That’s why I’m working hard to build it with you.
The Solo Hustle: A One-Man Brand
If you ever emailed, messaged, placed an order, or needed help with your spices from Every Ingredient… yep, that was me. All of it. Still is. This is still a one-man operation, and every improvement came with real late nights, learning curves, and trial and error. But I’m proud of the small wins, because each one is for you.
Final Thoughts: You’re the Boss
At the end of the day, you’re the reason this exists.
I believe every customer, every follower, every supporter deserves to know where their support and money are going and how it’s being reinvested. That’s why I write these updates. Not just to share the journey, but to invite you into it.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you. You’re not just supporting a business. You’re building something with me.
