Welcome to What’s Cooking?

This isn’t just a blog, it’s a shared journey. One rooted in flavour, community, and the belief that together, we can reshape how we cook, support small businesses, and build something real in Trinidad & Tobago.

But this space is also personal.
It’s where I share what’s on my mind, bring you behind the scenes of Every Ingredient, and show up in the way that feels most true to me. I may not post selfies or go live on camera, but I’m here with you in every word, every recipe, and every story.

Why I Started This

I created this blog to connect and open up about the real work behind the brand, and to hopefully give back by sharing what I’ve learned. Starting a business in Trinidad & Tobago can feel overwhelming, especially in the online space, where guidance is limited and trial-and-error is often the only path. I know what it’s like to be figuring it out alone, unsure who to turn to or whether you’re “doing it right.”

That’s why this blog exists.
To make the journey feel a little less confusing, a little more possible, and a lot more human.

In addition to updates on the business and new recipes using our spice blends, I’ll be sharing stories, reflections, and real-world tips on things like: 

• How to make better business decisions with long-term thinking in mind – like simplifying logistics, building strong systems, and even working sustainably when possible
• Staying safe while shopping or doing business online in T&T
• What it really takes to launch and grow a local e-commerce brand from scratch
• Breaking through the mindset and system challenges that come with building something new in a Caribbean setting
• Honest advice and encouragement for entrepreneurs just starting out or thinking about taking that first step

This space is for those who want more than the highlight reel and for those building quietly, courageously, and maybe even a little messily behind the scenes.
